Have you done this before?
Yes, I've videotaped approximately 65 weddings over the last 5 years.

How long is a wedding video?
Between 90 minutes and 2 hours. A catholic wedding ceremony might be an hour, a civil ceremony may take 8 minutes! Speeches can last 10 minutes, or an hour or more. It varies.

Why should I pay for a wedding video that will just sit on the shelf?
Video Keepsakes wedding videos don't sit on a shelf, at least according to the feedback I receive. At bridal shows someone will see a friend in my video demo and comment about how many times they've seen that wedding video! So not only do brides and grooms watch their video numerous times, apparently they also make their friends watch more than once.

Why should I pay you?. My relative can do it.
I'll use at least 2 high-end cameras on tripods (no shakes) from the best available locations in the church and at the hall, and a professional, discreet microphone so you can hear your vows, then edit and produce a DVD that looks more like a tv show than a home movie. And wouldn't your relative rather just enjoy the wedding?

Will you be shining lights on us the whole time? Because we won't like that.
No. I don't bring any lighting. I use professional cameras that are good in low light. So there's no splashing the dance floor with lights, no shining lights in the faces of your guests.

Will you be following us around closely all day? That could get annoying.
No way. My goal is to deliver a great video, while being as discreet and unobtrusive as possible. I can't say that you won't even know I'm there (because it's kind of cliche and possibly untrue) but you'll watch parts of the video and wonder where the heck I was. That's what zoom lenses are for.

How will you be dressed?
I will dress as if I'm going to a wedding! No bowling shirt, no cargo pants. Always a suit and tie, unless it's been designated casual dress. I like to wear what everyone else is wearing so I'll blend in.

Do you travel?
Yep.

Will I hear the sound from the wedding, or do you put your own music over top?
Always the sound from the wedding. The vows, the speeches, the music that the DJ plays etc.

I already have a photographer. Why do I need a video?
Oddly, the most important part of the video is the audio. Of course you need pictures, but only in video will you hear your vows, best wishes from friends, the bridesmaids laughing when you toss your bouquet, guests yelling for the groom to use his teeth to remove the garter, the song you had your first dance to... I could go on, but I think you get the picture (pun intended).

Have you really been asked all of these questions?
No, some of them I made up. But I thought you might be wondering!
